Travis Kelce made an early morning dash in a private jet to ensure he was back in Kansas City to receive Sportsperson of the Year – but left behind girlfriend Taylor Swift and her A-List pals at a birthday bash for disgraced Blake Lively.
The power reunited for an end-of-summer getaway – with the NFL star travelling from the pop sensations $17m Rhode Island mansion to a nearby airfield two days after he first arrived.
Images obtained exclusively show Travis boarding the plane and shaking hands with airport staff, before security followed him carrying his bag for the weekend.
Donning a white baseball cap and sweater the star attempted to keep a low profile with cars blocking the view to the plane, before starting the two-hour trip back to Kansas City alone, leaving the ‘Fortnight’ singer alone with her friends.
He climbed the stairs to the Dassault Falcon jet – the same type as his girlfriends – at midnight, giving him several hours before his expected appearance at the Kansas City Sports Awards.
Travis is nominated for the Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year, but could end up accepting the accolade alone despite Swift’s two-month break from touring.
The tight end seems to be taking advice from his jet-setting superstar girlfriend with the early morning flight, with Taylor famously telling him after they won their second Superbowl in Las Vegas that ‘jet lag is a choice’.
