On Sunday, Zara Tindall and her family enjoyed a day at the Hartpury International Horse Trials.
Former rugby player Mike Tindall, along with their daughters Mia, ten, and Lena, six, as well as their young son Lucas, three, joined Zara at the equestrian event.
An observer noted, “Mike and the kids arrived for lunch, strolling through the stalls and browsing the items for sale. It felt very casual, and no one seemed to take much notice—they’re part of the community.”
Photos from the event show Zara carrying Lucas while walking with Lena, and Mike holding Mia’s hand.
After their meal, Zara had to leave her family to return to the competition, where she participated in three events, finishing fourth in the British championship and earning £800. Her family left before her final event to avoid staying in the sun too long.
A Royally Happy Marriage
In an interview with The Times, Mike revealed the secret to their happy marriage, saying: “She’s always been my best friend. That doesn’t change.”
“It’s always been good for us being two professional sportspeople. It’s a bit clichéd but you understand each other, what your motivations are. I think that’s why we gel.”
