Spain: Lionel Messi’s House Vandalized By Climate Activists

Argentina’s President, Javier Milei, has denounced the vandalism of Lionel Messi’s apartment in Spain by climate change activists.

On Tuesday, August 6, a group of protesters broke into Messi’s €11 million property on the Spanish island, defacing the walls with red and black paint and demanding action on climate change.

In response, Milei took to X (formerly Twitter) to urge the Spanish government to ensure the safety of Argentine citizens.

He stated: “In Spain, communists advocating for extreme measures against the wealthy and police have vandalized the home of Lionel Messi and his family.

“I stand in solidarity with the Messi family regarding this cowardly and misguided act and call on Pedro Sánchez’s government to protect Argentine citizens residing in Spain.

“Communism, driven by envy, hatred, and resentment towards the successful, has no place in a free and civilized world.”
