Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are enjoying a summer break with their two young sons and are likely preparing for a special family reunion.
The 34-year-old royal mom shared a photo of herself relaxing on a beach with August, three, and one-year-old Ernest, believed to be in Portugal.
The family is expected to join the royal gatherings at Balmoral, where Eugenie’s uncle, King Charles, will host his annual summer retreat in Scotland.
King Charles has continued the tradition established by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and was officially welcomed to Balmoral with a brief ceremony outside the iconic gates on Monday.
Last year, Eugenie, Jack, and their sons were accompanied by Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and their daughter, Sienna. Sarah, Duchess of York, also confirmed that she traveled to Scotland with her daughters last summer.
Eugenie has always treasured her visits to Balmoral, having spent time there with Jack before their marriage in 2018. She fondly recounted her memories of Balmoral in the 2016 ITV documentary, Our Queen at Ninety.
“It’s the most beautiful place on earth,” she said, adding that her late grandmother also loved visiting. “I think Granny is the most happy there, I think she really, really loves the Highlands… Walks, picnics, dogs – a lot of dogs, there’s always dogs! And people coming in and out all the time.
“Family-wise we’re all there, so it’s a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa to be – for us to come and see them up there, where you just have room to breathe and run.”
