The 19-year-old Dutch princess made a chic appearance at Circuit Park Zandvoort, wearing a stylish knitted one-shoulder top paired with matching black wide-leg trousers.
She completed her look with sculptural gold earrings and sporty white trainers, letting her auburn hair flow loosely and accentuating her features with radiant makeup.
In joyful snapshots from the event, Princess Alexia posed alongside her parents and her cousin, Count Claus of The Netherlands. Queen Maxima looked elegant in a printed wrap skirt and a lime green long-sleeved top, while King Willem-Alexander appeared dapper in a smart suit with a duck egg blue shirt.
The family seemed in high spirits, happily posing for numerous group photos, including a sweet shot next to driver Max Verstappen’s car.
Princess Alexia’s appearance comes just before a significant move. Currently based in the Netherlands, she will head to the UK in September to enroll at University College London, where she will study Science and Engineering for Social Change. According to the NL Times, the decision was made somewhat last minute, with Alexia applying to several universities before finalizing her choice.
In June, the 19-year-old admitted feeling “a bit stressed about choosing” where to study, with other options including the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
This won’t be her first time studying abroad, as she has a strong connection to the UK, having completed a two-year International Baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales, graduating in 2023. Her father, King Willem-Alexander, also attended the same Welsh school from 1983 to 1985 when he was Crown Prince.
Besides Alexia, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are proud parents to Princess Catharina-Amalia, 20, and Princess Ariane, 17.
Their eldest daughter is currently pursuing a PPLE degree (Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics), while their youngest, Ariane, is studying at UWC Adriatic.
