It was a significant day for Danish royal Count Nikolai of Monpezat on Wednesday as he sat in the front row to watch his stunning girlfriend, Benedikte Thoustrup, make her runway debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Count Nikolai, currently residing in Australia, dressed in all white for the event, pairing his outfit with tinted sunglasses as he posed alongside his striking girlfriend. Benedikte walked in the Mark Kenly Domino Tan show, marking her first appearance on the Danish fashion scene’s catwalk. It’s likely that the royal was immensely proud of his partner, who also wore an all-white ensemble on the runway, possibly inspiring Count Nikolai’s choice of attire.

The lovely Benedikte is the founder of BénéSoie, a family-run brand offering hair clips, hand-sewn bags, and silk bands designed for heatless curls. She works on the brand alongside her mother, Anette, and her grandmother, Rita, who handles the sewing.
Count Nikolai and Benedikte first met in 2018 when they were both undergraduates at Copenhagen Business School. The Danish royal was studying Business Administration and Service Management, while Benedikte pursued a degree in Sustainability and Management.
Soon after their romance blossomed, the couple moved to Australia to spend a semester abroad at Sydney’s University of Technology. According to Benedikte’s Instagram, their time Down Under was filled with a mix of sun, sea, glamorous soirées, and studying.
In addition to returning to their native Denmark, Benedikte and Count Nikolai have been traveling across Europe, posing in various luxurious locations. They’ve shared kisses in French vineyards, posed in Paris, strolled through the streets of Milan, enjoyed boat trips in Sardinia, and snapped photos in Taiwan—what a summer!
