This revelation follows the Recorder of Liverpool, Judge Andrew Menary KC, lifting the reporting restrictions that previously shielded his identity due to his age.

Rudakubana, who is set to turn 18 on August 7, was described in court as an introvert with a background in musical theatre.

Born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents, he was living in the village of Banks near Southport at the time of the attack. He also has an older brother born in Cardiff.

Rudakubana is charged with murdering Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, at the Taylor Swift-themed dance class on Hart Street in Southport.

Eight other children suffered knife wounds, with five in critical condition, and two adults were also seriously injured.

The Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust stated that two of the injured children have been discharged from the hospital.

They continue to treat five children, all in stable condition. The trust expressed its heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the incident.
