Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P from the now-defunct P-Square group, has addressed the accusations made by his twin brother Paul Okoye, aka Rude Boy, who alleged that Peter reported him to the EFCC.
Peter clarified that he has never filed a petition with the EFCC against his twin brother. He explained the situation, saying that he, Paul, and their older brother Jude Okoye co-own a management company called Northside Entertainment, which handles all P-Square-related affairs.
Peter discovered another company named Northside Music, which led him to investigate further. He was surprised to find that the founder and director of this company were his elder brother Jude and Jude’s wife, Ifeoma Okoye, with the company’s registration address being Ifeoma’s family home.
When Peter questioned Paul about the company, Paul claimed to have no knowledge of it. Peter then asked his lawyers to file a petition, explicitly instructing them not to mention Paul’s name in the documents.
Peter challenged anyone to provide evidence of a petition he filed against Paul, asserting, “I hereby challenge Paul, or anyone else, to show any petition that I, Peter Okoye, ever submitted against my twin brother Paul or that includes Paul’s name.”
He admitted to filing a petition against Jude Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye, after discovering that millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira were being diverted into the secret company’s account, Northside Music, from their own Northside Entertainment.
Peter revealed that Jude was detained, confessed to diverting funds, and admitted to misappropriating their money into the secret company he and his wife directed. The EFCC’s investigation revealed that Jude’s company had been collecting royalties intended for Northside Entertainment for years.
Jude mentioned Paul’s name during questioning, which led to the EFCC inviting Paul for questioning. Despite this, Peter emphasized that he did not file a petition against his brother.
