The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation following the spread of a disturbing video on social media.
The footage, which has generated significant public outrage, shows male students from Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA) harassing a female student.
The 31-second video depicts the young men physically assaulting the female student while accusing her of sexual activity.
The graphic nature of the footage has prompted widespread condemnation, with many demanding swift action against those responsible.
In response, the Ghana Police Service issued a statement on their official social media platforms, confirming that an investigation is underway.
The police have assured the public that they will identify, arrest, and hold accountable those involved in the incident.
The statement from the police reads: “The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into a viral video in which a group of young men were seen harassing a female student. We wish to assure the public that the perpetrators will be identified and arrested to face justice.”
