Emir Yunusa Danyaya Of Ningi Is Dead

The Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, Dr. Yunusa Danyaya, has passed away at the age of 88.

The monarch, who had recently returned from a medical trip to Saudi Arabia on Thursday, August 22, died in the early hours of August 25 at a hospital in Kano State.

His death was confirmed in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Emirate, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi.

The statement reads: “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we hope). God bless His Majesty the King of Ningi, Dr. Yunusa Muhammadu Dan Yaya (OON), passed away this morning, Sunday in Kano.

“The funeral will be held at four o’clock in the evening at the gate of the Palace. Announcement from the Secretary of the Palace, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi.”

The monarch will be laid to rest on Sunday evening at 4pm, following a funeral prayer at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi.
