Brazil: Disturbing Final Words of Plane Crash Pilots Unveiled

The black box recording from the Brazilian plane crash, which claimed the lives of all 62 people on board, has revealed the final exchanges between the pilots.

Investigators now have the complete transcript of the cockpit audio from the Voepass ATR 72 twin-engine turboprop, which crashed in Vinhedo last week.

According to TV Globo, the two-hour recording shows that about a minute before the crash, the co-pilot noticed a significant loss of altitude.

He inquired about the situation and suggested that the aircraft needed “more power” to stabilize.

Brazil’s air accident investigation center, Cenipa, has not commented on the details reported by TV Globo.

The plane, en route from Cascavel in the southern state of Parana to Sao Paulo, crashed around 1:30 p.m. in Vinhedo, approximately 50 miles northwest of Sao Paulo.

The crash resulted in no survivors, though no one on the ground was injured.

Social media footage captured the plane spiraling out of control and crashing behind a cluster of trees near residential areas, creating a large plume of black smoke.
