A Swiss tourist has been arrested on suspicion of raping a British teenager at a Magaluf restaurant.
The 17-year-old male holidaymaker told police his alleged aggressor had followed him to the toilets and forced himself on him after they shared drinks together following the end of a dinner show at the eatery.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The British teenager had gone out with friends but ended up partying with the Swiss national after they were put on the same table for the show despite not knowing each other.
He alerted security staff after leaving the toilets and gave them a description of the suspect before they detained him at the restaurant exit and handed him over to police when they arrived.
The British youngster was taken to hospital for a routine examination before making a full statement.

The restaurant has not been named. The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday.
The Swiss suspect, whose age is not known, was hauled to court later the same day but released on bail instead of being remanded in custody.
It was not immediately clear today whether he has been allowed to leave Majorca pending an ongoing criminal investigation. He declined to answer questions from a judge.
