Jocelyn Wildenstein, known as ‘Catwoman’ due to her extensive facial modifications, shared a striking throwback photo over the weekend, providing a rare look at her natural beauty before her dramatic transformations.
The 82-year-old Swiss socialite posted the heartfelt birthday tribute to her daughter Diane on Instagram. The photo shows a younger Jocelyn, with her face looking quite different from the distinctive features resulting from her well-known plastic surgeries.
Her journey with cosmetic surgery began during her marriage to her former husband, Alec Wildenstein. Fearing that he might leave her, Jocelyn reportedly sought multiple surgeries in an attempt to win back the heart of the self-proclaimed cat enthusiast.
During their marriage, Jocelyn kept a lynx as a pet, which she described to Vanity Fair as having “perfect eyes.”
Although her cosmetic changes initially rekindled their romance, the couple eventually divorced in 1997. Following their separation, Alec criticized his ex-wife’s surgeries, remarking: “She was crazy. I would always find out last.” He added, “She thought she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin doesn’t work that way. But she wouldn’t listen.”
Jocelyn’s social media post comes amid claims that she is financially struggling after being cut off from her $100 million annual divorce settlement.
In a rare interview last summer, she revealed she had been left without income for eight years following the termination of her nine-figure annual payments from her 1999 divorce settlement.
The settlement, initially worth $2.5 billion, included $100 million allocated annually after Jocelyn claimed her billionaire husband, Alec N. Wildenstein, was unfaithful.
In a June 2023 interview with The Sunday Times, Jocelyn claimed Alec, who passed away in 2008, attempted to blame their failed marriage on her by saying he no longer recognized his wife due to her extensive plastic surgeries.
