A video of a Nigerian man being beaten in his neighborhood has sparked outrage.
The video, shared on X over the weekend, shows young men publicly humiliating the man, whom they accused of being homosexual. They tied his hands behind his back and paraded him through the streets.
The men parading him repeatedly hit him on the head with planks and some even broke bottles over his head. At one point, someone suggested throwing him into a gutter, and the others agreed.
The man was pushed into a dirty gutter, where the beating continued.
Viewers have condemned the abusers, pointing out that rapists, murderers, pedophiles, women beaters, and corrupt politicians do not receive such treatment, yet adult men in consensual same-sex relationships are subjected to this inhumane behavior.
