A glamorous Mexican TV presenter was shot and killed in front of her four-year-old son during a carjacking attempt while leaving a circus.
Martha Paola Salcedo, 29, the sister of Cruz Azul center back Carlos Salcedo, was shot two times on Saturday evening in Huixquilucan, State of Mexico.
SHE COULD NOT BE SAVED
A bystander aided Salcedo’s assistant into getting her inside his vehicle and rushing her to Angeles Hospital, where doctors were unable to save her life.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The assistant told authorities that two suspects approached them and demanded that Salcedo hand over her handbag and SUV keys.
However, a struggle ensued between Salcedo and the suspects, who shot her.

TRIBUTE
‘We mourn the sensitive death of Paolo Salcedo, sister of our player Carlos Salcedo,’ Cruz Azul said in a statement on X.
The grief-stricken footballer, who was part of Mexico’s squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, reposted the message and wrote, ‘Thanks to everyone.’
‘Given the unfortunate death of our daughter Martha Paola Salcedo Hernandez, my wife, her current partner and a servant, we deeply appreciate all the expressions of affection and solidarity towards our family,’ Paola’s and Carlos’ parents said in statement Tuesday.
