The individual responsible for the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on Saturday, July 13, was shot and killed by the Secret Service.
The shooter, identified as a Chinese man, was positioned in a sniper location several hundred yards away from Trump’s podium in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was addressing a campaign crowd.
During Trump’s speech, gunshots were fired in the midst of his remarks. Trump reacted by touching his right ear before being swiftly tackled to the ground by Secret Service agents.
Moments later, Trump stood up and instructed his security team to hold off, then raised his fist and shouted “fight” to the startled crowd.
