The eco-friendly royal, 42, was recorded riding through the castle gates on the electric model in a video shared by a fan on social media.

While riding an e-scooter on public roads is illegal, they are permitted on private land, which is how William uses his. The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, live on the Windsor estate at Adelaide Cottage, and William frequently hosts meetings at the castle.
The journey between the Wales family’s home and Windsor Castle is a three-mile round trip, which would take about 30 minutes to walk.
William, who shares his father the King’s passion for the environment, aims to avoid unnecessary car journeys. E-scooters can reach speeds of up to 10 km/h, making them a fast and environmentally friendly option.
The future king, who once enjoyed riding a motorbike, revealed in 2017 that he had put that hobby “on the backburner” since becoming a father.
Kate revealed her fears about William riding a motorbike, telling a member of the public in Dundee in 2015: “He’s still riding it. It always fills me with horror when he goes out – I’m terrified. Hopefully I’m going to keep George off it.”
