The Prince And Princess Of Wales Implement A Significant Change To Their Team

The Prince and Princess of Wales have hired Sir Dave Lewis, the man credited with rescuing supermarket giant Tesco.

Sir Dave, 59, has been appointed director of The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

During his nearly seven years as Group CEO of Tesco, he earned the nickname “Drastic Dave” for his cost-cutting measures that revitalized the brand.

Dave Lewis was CEO at Tesco for seven years

Before his tenure at Tesco, Sir Dave spent 28 years at Unilever, where he successfully launched Dove in the UK.

Knighted in 2021 for his services to the food industry and business, Sir Dave is also the executive chair of startup energy company Xlinks and serves on the board of PepsiCo.

The Royal Foundation, led by William and Kate, oversees all their non-profit initiatives, including the Princess’ Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood and the Prince’s Homewards and Earthshot Prize projects.
