During a question and answer session with her friend Ginika, Sheila clarified that despite public perception, she never demanded that Isreal cease working with Davido.
She mentioned that she occasionally provided suggestions but never advised him against his association with the singer. Sheila revealed that she even contributed behind the scenes by filming videos at times.
Sheila acknowledged that there were positive moments in their marriage and emphasized that it wasn’t entirely negative.
“I did not criticise his relationship. I made suggestions as a wife but there was never a point where I said ‘No don’t do this, why are you doing this?’
“In fact, I was behind the scenes most of the time taking pictures and doing videos because I saw him doing this and it’s fine, I just had other personal stuff that I raised with him but I never at any point said stop working for him. I never ever did that.”
On whether she regrets her decision to end their marriage, Sheila said; “A lot has happened. I do not regret any decision I have taken because it was all bound to happen.
“I believe God is in charge of all that happens in our lives whether you see it positively or negatively, there is a master planner behind the whole thing but I have had my moments of sadness especially the way my friend and parents were dragged into it”
The couple tied the knot in October 2022, but their marriage reportedly came to an end in September 2023. Isreal publicly announced their separation and levied allegations against Sheila and her parents.
During a candid moment, Sheila revealed that she had advised Isreal to explore other business opportunities, believing he couldn’t remain under his boss indefinitely. However, he disregarded her advice, contributing to the growing tension between them.
In his numerous social media posts, Isreal accused Sheila’s friend, Ginika, of being a negative influence for sheltering Sheila after she left his home.
During the Q&A session, Ginika denied having prior knowledge of Sheila and Isreal’s marital issues, discovering them like everyone else through social media. She expressed regret over providing accommodation to a married woman facing marital challenges instead of encouraging her to seek support from her family.
