In the wake of President Biden’s withdrawal and endorsement of Harris, Cardi B looked back at her June 30 live stream where she criticized the Democratic Party for letting Biden, in her view, “embarrass himself like the ‘grandpa’ he is.”
She had initially hesitated about voting but expressed her disappointment that Harris didn’t seize the opportunity to challenge Trump directly in the debates.
Cardi had predicted Harris would run in the coming years, given her ambitions and concerns about Biden’s capacity.
It’s unclear if Cardi’s stance on boycotting the election has shifted now that Harris is leading, especially since she previously criticized both Biden and Trump as inadequate choices.
Cardi wasn’t alone in her critique; Charlamagne Tha God also voiced frustration with the Democratic Party for not elevating Harris sooner.
