The 22-year-old Belgian royal was joined by her proud parents, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and her younger siblings, Prince Emmanuel, 18, and Princess Eleonore, 16, at the ceremony.
Elisabeth, who is destined to be queen, earned a 2:1 degree in History and Politics from Lincoln College at the prestigious British university. For her graduation, she wore traditional academic attire, including a white button-up shirt, a black pencil skirt, and the customary ribbon tie.
The graduation ceremony took place in the university’s Sheldonian Theatre, where proceedings are still conducted in Latin. During the ceremony, after the college name is called, students bow to the Vice-Chancellor and Proctors before donning the robes of their new degree.
The Belgian royal family strolled through the picturesque streets of Oxford to attend Elisabeth’s graduation. While the princess wore her academic dress, Queen Mathilde looked stunning in a pink ensemble by Natan Couture, and Princess Eleonore chose a green floral dress from Maje.
