Meghan Markle’s Subtle Tribute To Her Bridal Designer In Stylish Wimbledon Attire

This year’s Wimbledon will miss Meghan Markle’s impeccable style, but fans can reminisce about her standout fashion moments from the 2019 tennis championships.

On day twelve, the Duchess of Sussex, 42, was seen in the Royal Box on Centre Court alongside her sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, and Pippa Middleton, exuding effortless tennis day chic.

Her ensemble not only impressed with its aesthetic appeal but also included a subtle homage to her wedding dress designer. Meghan sported a Hugo Boss pleated skirt featuring an elasticated waistband and an abstract blue design.

She paired this with a white shirt crafted by Givenchy, the same esteemed fashion house that designed her bespoke bridal gown the previous year.

The former Suits star wore her sleek raven locks in a chic slicked-back ponytail and accessorized with a cream micro bag to complement her look.

Meghan’s Wedding Gown

The bridal gown of the mother-of-two was crafted by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. It boasted a surprising bateau neckline, three-quarter-length sleeves, and a train with an integrated triple silk organza underskirt.

Clare also fashioned the royal veil, which spanned five meters and was adorned with embroidered individual flowers symbolizing the 53 countries of the Commonwealth.

According to a statement from Kensington Palace, the designer collaborated closely with the royal bride-to-be to fashion a bespoke gown that radiated “timeless minimal elegance.”
