Libya: Two Nigerian Migrants Apprehended For The Murder Of Another Nigerian

Two Nigerian migrants were arrested in Brak, a town in west-central Libya, for allegedly assaulting and throwing another Nigerian migrant off a building, resulting in his death.

The Migrant Rescue Watch reported that the suspects, identified as ‘J.H.’ born in 2002 and ‘A.M.’ born in 1994, were apprehended on Monday, July 15, 2024.

“Police in Brak arrested 2 undocumented #migrants of Nigerian nationality (‘J.H.’ born 2002 & ‘A.M.’ born 1994) responsible for assaulting another Nigerian #migrant (‘Z.M.’).

The victim after being thrown from the roof of a building suffered injuries,” the statement said.

Despite receiving medical assistance, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Both accused individuals have been referred to the public prosecutor for legal action.
