King Charles Plans To Invite Special Guests To Balmoral This Summer

The King and Queen traditionally spend their summer break at Balmoral in August, and this year, they plan to welcome new guests to their Scottish residence.

Following the tradition established by Queen Elizabeth II, Charles continues to invite the prime minister to join him at his Aberdeenshire retreat.

After the recent UK general election, Labour leader Keir Starmer has become the new prime minister, officially appointed by the King during an audience at Buckingham Palace last Friday.

In line with tradition, Keir and his wife, Victoria, are likely to receive an invitation to Balmoral during the Parliament summer recess.

Last summer, former prime minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, were seen joining the King and Queen at Crathie Kirk church during their first and only stay at Balmoral.

Typically, the King and Queen are also accompanied by members of their family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.
