Gypsy-Rose Blanchard expressed gratitude to Kim Kardashian for meeting with her and hearing out her story, despite her being ‘too controversial.’
Kim, 43, spoke face-to-face with Gypsy, 32, who was recently released from prison, after she pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of her mom, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2016.

The reality TV star, who is known for her passion for prison reform, sat down with Gypsy — who recently revealed she is pregnant with her first child — in an upcoming episode of The Kardashians.
In a new clip shared by Hulu on Wednesday, the Munchausen by Proxy survivor is seen thanking Kim for speaking with her.
‘I give you massive kudos right now, because I think a lot of people are afraid of touching me as a topic,’ she told Kim.
‘Really?’ the mom-of-four, who wore a cozy brown leather jacket with a sherpa collar as well as her signature glam, asked.
‘Because I’m too controversial,’ Gypsy clarified.

Kim then hilariously acknowledged that she is no stranger to controversy herself, as she quipped: ‘Mmm, girl.’
To which Gypsy replied: ‘So I give you like massive props for being like, okay, I’m going to come do this right now. Like this is going to happen.’

Looking beyond the headlines, the SKIMS founder revealed she wasn’t motivated by the sensational aspects of Blanchard’s case. Instead, she was driven by a belief in Gypsy’s ability to ‘make a big difference.’
‘I’ve been following your case for a really long time. So like I wouldn’t want to come and, you know, really meet with someone that I feel like can make an impact just for, like, the sensation of the case.’
‘I recognize that, like, you can make a big difference. Because you can really articulate what you went through. And how you can get through it.’

Kanye West‘s ex-wife also wanted to know what Gypsy picked as her first meal after getting out of prison.
‘When I got out I got to try steak for the first time. I’ve never had steak before, so yeah, it was actually pretty good,’ Gypsy told her.
In May a preview clip of season five of the Hulu reality show sees Gypsy opening a door and meeting Kim.
Kim greets her with a hug and says: ‘Hi Gypsy’ who says ‘hi’ back before Kim’s mother Kris Jenner is seen saying: ‘Welcome back to season five’.
The moment came as a surprise to fans of the show as Kim had not revealed she and Gypsy had met in person.
Gypsy made worldwide headlines nearly a decade ago after she pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of her mom, Dee Dee.
She was released from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri after serving eight and a half years in December, immediately springing into social media fame.
