Good Morning Britain presenter, Kate Garraway has waded into the ongoing Strictly Come Dancing drama, branding the alleged treatment of the show’s stars as ‘quite abusive’.
The 57-year-old addressed the topic on Tuesday’s show, giving her own opinion on the matter and debating whether ‘it’s time the series called it quits’.
It comes after professional dancer Graziano Di Prima, 30, was sacked from the BBC programme last week over reports he verbally and physically abused his celebrity partner Zara McDermott, 27, during last year’s series.
It’s the latest blow suffered by the dancing competition, which is still watched by more than ten million people, as allegations against fellow Strictly star Giovanni Pernice are still being investigated.
During the GMB segment on Tuesday, Kate and co-presenter Richard Madeley, 68, heard opinions from ITV viewers, before weighing in with some of their own comments.

Kate began by questioning: ‘Generally with all these allegations going on and the departure of several dancers, has Strictly had its last dance? Is it a show in trouble?’
WHAT SOME PEOPLE THINK
One viewer suggested the celebrity stars need to understand that the programme involves intense training, which led Kate to shoot a fiery comment in response.
Richard read out the viewer’s comment: ‘Look, professional dancers are used from childhood to this kind of hard, hard training. Do not enter something called Strictly if you can’t take it.’
KATE REPLIES
To which Kate said: ‘The difference is, with these allegations, it’s quite abusive it’s not just working physically hard.
‘We don’t know and some of the people accused have absolutely denied it. Maybe there’s a line or maybe there isn’t, depends on what you think, let us know!’
