English singer Elton John found himself in an unusual situation while shopping for sneakers in a store in France.
According to the store owner, Ryan Sukkar of Sugarkikz in Nice, Elton John visited the store on a Monday afternoon accompanied by his two sons and a bodyguard. When Elton asked about restroom facilities, he was informed there were none available.
With no alternatives, the legendary singer asked his security for a bottle and, stepping away from other shoppers, proceeded to use it to relieve himself. However, his aim was imperfect, leading to some spillage on the floor. Elton then requested a towel from his security detail to clean up the mess.
Sukkar expressed surprise and frustration over the incident, noting it was the first such occurrence in his three years of running the business.
Interestingly, Sukkar did not recognize Elton John during the incident. When he asked what Elton did for a living, the singer simply replied, “I’m Elton John.”
After a quick online search, Sukkar realized the identity of his customer. Despite the awkward encounter, Elton John purchased two pairs of sneakers for his sons, posed for a photo with the store, and shook hands with Sukkar before departing.
