Actress Meagan Good shared how her friends warned her to avoid actor Jonathan Majors, who she began dating in May 2023, just months before he faced legal troubles involving harassment and assault allegations from his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
During an interview on the ‘Today’ show, Meagan revealed her friends advised her to “wait and see how everything shakes out [with the trial].”
Despite this advice, Meagan trusted her instincts and her faith, stating, “I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum.”
Jonathan Majors was ultimately found guilty in December 2023 of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment as a violation.
Despite the legal challenges, Meagan stood by him, expressing no regrets about her decision. She emphasized the strength of their support for each other, their honest conversations, love, respect, and care they share.
The couple has faced significant public scrutiny due to Jonathan’s legal issues, but Meagan emphasized staying true to herself and ignoring gossip. She emphasized her focus on faith and authenticity, stating, “I keep my eyes on God … I know what I know that I know.”
Jonathan Majors received a year of court-ordered domestic violence intervention counseling following his conviction.
Speaking at the 2024 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, he candidly reflected on his experience within the criminal justice system, expressing emotions of anger, sadness, and vulnerability during his legal ordeal.
He acknowledged his imperfections and shortcomings, stating, “I’m imperfect. I have shortcomings, I acknowledge them. I love my craft.”
