He died in an ATV accident February 28 in Boone, North Carolina after the vehicle he was driving flipped over in the driveway of his home, leaving Garinger with severe head injuries.

CAUSE OF DEATH

His official cause of death is blunt force injury to the head according to the Raleigh, NC Medical Examiner’s office, per TMZ.

The documents reveal Garinger’s skull was ‘fractured in multiple places.’

His mother told The U.S. Sun about the circumstances of the tragic accident, in which Garinger’s skull was ‘crushed.’

HOW THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED

Hobbs said, ‘He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to the next for me, so I could back into park. He pulled [in] front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud.’

Hobbs said her son’s head suffered severe head injuries when the ATV flipped over.

She added: ‘I ran to neighbors trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off of him. No one answered. I ran back to him. By that time, I realized he wasn’t alive anymore.’

Hobbs said that she ‘laid next to’ her son on the ground prior to the ambulance showing up at the scene.
