Strict Wedding Rule Of Hugh Grosvenor And Olivia Henson Revealed

Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, will marry his fiancée Olivia Henson on Friday, June 7, in what is anticipated to be the society wedding of the year.

The wedding of Britain’s richest man under 40 and his bride will gather around 400 guests, including Hugh’s longtime friend, the Prince of Wales. The couple has established a strict ‘no gifts’ policy for their numerous guests.

The ceremony will take place at Chester Cathedral, the same venue where the Duke’s sister, Lady Tamara, married Edward van Cutsem in 2004.

The highly-anticipated wedding will feature two receptions: a main event on Friday following the cathedral service, and a more intimate gathering for family and close friends the next day.

In April, it was announced by the Duke’s spokesperson that the 33-year-old Duke would be marrying his 30-year-old girlfriend of two years, Olivia, following their engagement at Hugh’s family home, Eaton Hall, in Cheshire.

A photo was shared of the newly engaged couple with a statement, which read: “The Duke of Westminster and Miss Olivia Henson are delighted to announce they are engaged to be married. The couple, who have been together for two years, recently became engaged at the Duke’s family home at Eaton Hall in Cheshire.

“Members of both their families are absolutely delighted with the news. Hugh Grosvenor, The Duke of Westminster, is Grosvenor’s Chair as well as Chair of the Westminster Foundation.”

Hugh became the Duke of Westminster in 2016, inheriting the title and estate from his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, who passed away at the age of 64. Reports indicate that Prince William will be the only member of the British royal family attending the wedding, and he is expected to serve as an usher.
