See Prince William’s Reply When Asked About His Wife’s Health

During an outing in Portsmouth on Wednesday, the Prince of Wales was asked about his wife, the Princess of Wales’ health.

While meeting veterans to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, one war hero inquired if his wife, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment, is “getting any better.”

William replied: “Yes she is. She’d have loved to be here.”

Kate has not been seen in public for months. Her last significant appearance was in March, when she filmed a video from her home in Windsor announcing her cancer diagnosis. Meanwhile, her husband, William, has been managing the household with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, while also fulfilling royal duties.

At Wednesday’s event, William joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at the D-Day commemorations. He debuted a new medal around his neck, the Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, and wore four other medals on his suit: the Golden Jubilee, Diamond Jubilee, Platinum Jubilee, and Coronation medals.

Prince William’s Honour

In April, King Charles appointed his eldest son, William, as the Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath.

The order, established by King George I in 1725, is believed to have origins dating back to the eighth century. It is awarded to military or civil service members for exemplary service.

William served seven and a half years in full-time military service with the Blues and Royals and later joined the RAF Search and Rescue Force. Charles previously held the position of Great Master from 1974 to 2022.
