Princess Beatrice exuded royal elegance as she surprised a young girl with leukemia at her art exhibition at Christie’s in London.
Poppy Blackburn, aged nine, was diagnosed with cancer at the tender age of three. Throughout years of treatments, Poppy found solace in art, and it had always been her dream to hold her own art exhibition.
With the support of Make a Wish UK and The Art of Wishes, Poppy’s dream became a reality, making her the youngest artist ever to exhibit at Christie’s in London. Photographs captured from Poppy’s exhibition depict the sheer joy on the little girl’s face as the Princess enveloped her in a warm embrace.
The royal, aged 35, looked resplendent in an all-black ensemble, pairing an affordable tweed jacket from Zara with beige ballerina pumps from Chanel, striking the perfect balance between budget-friendly and luxury fashion.
Princess Beatrice completed her look with the ‘Black Saturday Pleated Skirt’ from the sought-after brand Misha Nonoo, who coincidentally happens to be one of the Duchess of Sussex’s closest friends.
It’s worth noting that Meghan herself owns the ‘Black Saturday Pleated Skirt’ and was spotted wearing it on September 20, 2018, during the launch of a cookbook featuring recipes from a group of women affected by the Grenfell Tower fire at Kensington Palace.
Beatrice has been acquainted with Meghan’s best friend Misha for several years, and she even attended Misha’s first wedding to ex-husband Alexander Gilkes in 2012, along with her sister Princess Eugenie.
It’s probable that Beatrice’s friendship with Misha began due to her ex-husband’s close relationship with Prince Harry. Alexander was one of Harry’s peers at Eton and attended the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales in 2011.
