Princess Anne Showcases A Tailored Jacket And Adidas Sunglasses

Princess Anne attended a reception with members of the Royal Regina Rifles regiment to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, looking as elegant as ever.

The Princess Royal, aged 73, sported a navy cropped jacket with an asymmetrical button fastening. She paired this with a flowing floral skirt, a quintessential spring piece, creating a graceful silhouette with the jacket draped over the skirt’s waistline, adding a touch of lightness to her ensemble.

Completing her look, Princess Anne accessorized with navy gloves, a matching handbag, navy leather shoes featuring silver hardware and a block heel, and sheer flesh-hued tights.

Adding a touch of regal charm, she adorned herself with a triple string of pearls and matching earrings, along with a gold ribbon brooch studded with diamonds, a cherished piece from her jewelry collection since 1969.

Notably, she previously wore this brooch during a trip to Washington D.C. in 2014 and when meeting Colonel Frank Borman, the American astronaut who commanded the Apollo 8 mission.

In a surprising twist, Princess Anne donned polarized wraparound sunglasses, reminiscent of those worn on ski slopes or during outdoor activities like mountain biking, adding a sporty edge to her ensemble.

During the event, Princess Anne inspected the troops and unveiled a statue of a Second World War Canadian Royal Regina Rifleman in Bretteville-l’Orgueilleuse, Normandy. She delivered a speech, met with British veterans, and laid a wreath at the Bayeux War Cemetery during a Royal British Legion service of commemoration.

Later, she led a procession after a thanksgiving service and was spotted in an icy-white double-breasted coat as she met the President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. She shook hands with Cadet Corporal Grace Maddison upon her arrival for the Commonwealth War Grave Commission’s Great Vigil, accessorizing with a printed red scarf for added warmth.

Returning to London on Thursday, Princess Anne participated in the annual Founder’s Day Parade at Royal Hospital Chelsea, donning military uniform as she saluted Chelsea Pensioners.
