Imo State: Parents Seek Justice As Their Daughter Dies In Her Boyfriend’s House

The parents of Ginika Judith Okoro, a 22-year-old nurse, who passed away at the residence of her boyfriend, Charles Ndukwu, in Ezeogba, Awaka, Owerri North Local Government Area, Imo State, have urged the Nigeria Police and state government to investigate the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of their sole daughter.

Mrs. Caroline Nneji, the mother of the deceased nurse, spoke to reporters in Owerri, stating that her daughter died while visiting Charles.

“My only daughter died last Sunday when she visited a young man called Charles. My only daughter who was 22 years old was raised by us.She has a chemist shop where she treats patients, and you know as a nurse she goes to patients’ houses sometimes to treat them.

“This fateful Sunday, she visited a young man and died in his house. My only eye has gone. What sin did I commit that cannot be forgiven?” Mrs. Caroline Nneji, mother of the late nurse said, weeping.

“It is the truth only that we are seeking, after all, our daughter cannot come back to life again,” they said.

The incident was confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, who assured that the police would exert every effort to uncover the reason behind the young woman’s mysterious death.
