Divorce documents filed by 62-year-old Cyrus in Nashville, Tenn., indicate that he and singer Firerose, 36, parted ways on May 22.
According to court records obtained by People magazine, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the grounds for divorce.
Additionally, Cyrus expressed a desire to annul the marriage based on fraud, although the specifics of this claim remain undisclosed.
The couple tied the knot in October 2023, with Cyrus describing their wedding day as “the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”
Firerose, born Johanna Rose Hodges, and Cyrus got engaged in August 2022, though they did not publicly announce the news until several months later.
Their relationship traces back over a decade when they initially met on the set of the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” in which Cyrus’ daughter Miley starred. Although they remained friends over the years, their romantic involvement began officially in 2022.
Reports indicate that Cyrus evicted Firerose from their residence on May 24. He is said to be providing financial assistance for her temporary accommodation, initially offering US$500 per night for 10 days, followed by US$5,000 per month for 90 days or until the divorce is concluded.
Despite once sharing numerous social media updates about their relationship, the couple no longer follow each other on Instagram.
