A Horrified Mother Reveals Her Seven-Year-Old Daughter Was Nearly Mauled To Death By Six ‘XL Bullys’ And Had To Undergo Three Operations In Eight Days To Treat Her 30 Wounds

Mum Jade, who thought her daughter was dead when she found her lying face down in the street, says: “The doctors said they had never come across anyone else with dog bites so severe.

“Even after surgery she’s got scars across her eye, her eyelid, which we call the rainbow, and scars along her tummy, her back, bum, legs and arms. She will have these for the rest of her life.

“She’s suffering mentally. She will always suffer mentally as a result of this. She has got worse when it comes to dogs, and being around dogs.”

Jade, 33, and husband Lee, 36, moved with Amelia and sister Lara, 10, to a new neighbourhood in Carrington, Greater Manchester, when Jade was expecting their third daughter, Bonnie.

She recalls: “I ran downstairs and onto the street and I saw Amelia face down. She’s got the most beautiful, curly blonde hair but that was sprawled out all over the floor. The dogs were all over her. I thought she was dead.”

Lara had rushed in to try to save her sister when the six dangerously out-of-control XL Bullies pounced.

Jade says: “Amelia wasn’t responding to me or Lara. She wasn’t making any noise and I think she must have been coming in and out of consciousness. She really quietly eventually said, ‘No, stop’. As horrific as it sounds, it was the best thing to have heard then because I knew she was alive.”

Amelia fell in and out of consciousness as her family drove her to hospital.

Her mum says: “They rushed her straight to A&E. They cut her clothes off and it was then when we saw how horrific and harrowing her injuries were. Chunks of her skin and flesh had gone.”
