Woman is STABBED outside busy school during drop-off

A woman was stabbed outside a busy primary school as parents took their children through the gates in Dunstable Road, Luton shortly after 8.30am this morning.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital following the attack but her condition is unknown.

The Attacker is Arrested

One man has been arrested and is in police custody.

All the children were said to be safe in the school, which the force did not name, but officers are set to remain in the area for reassurance.

One said: ‘It’s terrible. I have never seen so many police. I hope the woman recovers. At least no children were hurt.’

A neighbour living next to the scene of the stabbing, in flats at Beech Hill Court, said she had left for work at 7am and returned home to find the police cordon in place.

‘I’m shocked, this is just awful,’ she said.
