A pastor in Lagos State has attracted widespread attention from Nigerians by announcing the suspension of offering collections in his church.
In a viral video, the pastor is seen addressing his congregation, explaining that due to the current economic situation in the country, it would be unfair to collect offerings.
He emphasized the rising costs of petrol and transportation, which have placed a financial burden on many people.
The pastor stated that until the price of petrol decreases, his church will not accept offerings from its members.
He also called on other pastors to consider halting the collection of offerings from their congregations in solidarity with those facing financial difficulties.
