A TV sports presenter has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of raping a child.
Police conducted a raid of the TV host’s home earlier this week and seized electronical devices and documents for examination.
The man unidentified was reportedly held in custody for around 18 hours and was questioned by detectives before being released on bail, pending further enquiries.
The outlet claim that the rape allegation is historical and that the child was younger than 10 years old at the time.
The rape victim was raped on more than one occasion.
The alleged complainant made the allegation recently and it was reported to police before they were interviewed by specialist child abuse investigation officers.
