Prince Edward’s wife looked incredibly regal as she attended the Ceremony of the Keys at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh on Friday.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, appeared immaculate in a striking new ensemble that marked a departure from her usual floaty floral tea dresses.
For the occasion, the royal chose a cropped jacket crafted from a heavy bottle green fabric with a diamond texture, designed by Suzannah London. She paired the ‘Remy’ jacket with a matching skirt featuring a nipped-in waistline and a voluminous 50s-style silhouette.
Adding to her bold look with a special vintage quality, the Duchess accessorized with nude Prada heels that complemented her nude bodysuit worn under the cropped jacket. She also carried a ‘Cleo’ clutch in emerald by Sophie Habsburg, made from croc-print leather and featuring a gold chain handle, which is her signature style.
To highlight the dramatic collar of her jacket, Prince Edward’s wife styled her blonde hair in a low braided bun. Her makeup was flawless, with a touch of glamour from fluttery false eyelashes.

The Duchess was seen alongside her husband at the Palace of Holyrood. The occasion, known as the Ceremony of the Keys, signifies the beginning of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Prince Edward stood in for his brother King Charles in his capacity as the Lord High Commissioner, receiving the keys from the Lord Provost.
