Mother and daughter LIVE in McDonald’s 19 hours a day – along with their suitcases after being left homeless

Women aged 64 and 31 have been living in a McDonald’s in Brazil for three months with suitcases packed with belongings after being evicted from their home.

Details of Their Situation

Susane Paula Muratoni Geremia, 64, and daughter, Bruna Muratori Geremia, 31, stay in the fast food joint until they are told to leave when it closes at 5am.

They then wait outside the restaurant, which is in the upmarket Leblon neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, sleeping on the street until it re-opens at 10am.

Both of them have mobile phones and pay for every meal, and say they would prefer to stay in the burger restaurant in the seaside area than take up the offer of a place in a homeless shelter.

Who Is Paying For Their Meals?

The women claim they receive financial support from Bruna’s father, who is living in the UK, and both deny not having paid debts.

As it Is

The women are looking for flats to rent in the area and are planning to stay in the McDonald’s branch until they find a home within their budget, per CBN.

The daughter reportedly said they were happy to stay at McDonald’s until that happens.

‘It’s peaceful here and I feel safe and welcome,’ she said. ‘The staff treated us very well.’

They shower at nearby residents’ houses.

Despite their difficult living situation, the pair are reported to always be clean, well-dressed and do their make up every day.

Both have mobile phones, which are always fully charged, their five large suitcases contain tennis rackets, clothes, and books as well as shoes and other accessories.
