Bradley Holder, who had used ‘monkey dust’ died when no ambulance was sent to help him for nearly 14 hours – despite two desperate 999 calls.
He Started Acting Out
The 19-year-old teenager began acting erratically after taking the dangerous drug MDPHP at a house in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
Meanwhile, Stoke has frequently been reported as suffering an ‘epidemic’ of drug users abusing ‘monkey dust’, with the Government keen to see it upgraded to a Class A substance.
Bradley was ‘throwing his arms around and was shouting and gurning’ after taking the Class B substance.
Witness Statement
And according to witness, he was ‘rolling around on the floor in shards of glass’. His breathing was also ‘off and on’, and he was having seizures.
His friends attempted to help but ambulance was not forthcoming.
Paramedics Failed to Arrive
First 999 call was made to West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) at 7.26pm on December 18 2022, which was changed from Category One to a Category Two, meaning an ambulance should have been with the former Haywood Academy student by 7.46pm to 8.06pm.
But when paramedics failed to arrive, a second call was made at 11.13pm.
He Was Pronounced Dead
A friend told the operator ‘there will be a death if an ambulance isn’t sent’, but still no emergency help came to his aid.
The following morning, Bradley’s friend found him on his back under the bed and was ‘cold to touch’.
Paramedics only came around after a final call to WMAS at 9:04am on December 19 202, and they pronounced Bradley dead at the scene.
