Her makeup artist, Alexx Mayo, shared that the star’s matching makeup featured vibrant flowers around her eyes, perfectly aligning with the event’s theme, “The Garden of Time.” Mayo expressed excitement, stating, “I gather a lot of my inspiration from botanical gardens, so I was thrilled — nature has the best color combinations.”
This isn’t the first time the “About Damn Time” singer has made headlines at the Met Gala. In 2023, she arrived in a Chanel dress adorned with pearls, while in 2022, she opted for a Thom Browne gown featuring black-and-gold embroidery, taking an impressive 22,000 hours to make.
However, her most memorable look came in 2019, when she embraced the camp theme in a hot pink feathered Marc Jacobs frock inspired by Shirley MacLaine’s character in the 1964 movie “What a Way to Go!” (She even went viral for wearing the extravagant outfit to the airport after the party.)
It’s been a challenging year for the Grammy winner, facing multiple lawsuits from former backup dancers in August, alleging sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. Lizzo denied the accusations.
Recently, the “Juice” songstress announced on Instagram that she had “quit,” sparking speculation about her music career. She later clarified that she was simply quitting “giving any negative energy attention.”
