Princess Beatrice is reportedly elevating her role within the royal family. According to US Weekly, she impressed King Charles during Kate Middleton’s absence, leading to plans to promote her to a working royal.
Speaking to the portal, a close source said, “Princess Beatrice will be stepping up the number of engagements she does. Both King Charles and Prince William saw how well she did in recent weeks.”
“And that’s why they are happy to push her to the front for representing the family in public. Although the move is currently being seen as a temporary unofficial role to help plug the gaps, it could become more permanent in the future,” they added.
Charles and his elder daughter-in-law are currently battling cancer, which has limited their engagement in royal duties.
In their absence, Princess Beatrice is reportedly expected to step in. However, an insider has stated that she “will not stand in” for Kate Middleton directly; rather, her role will be “to help the royals out and be available.”
This means the 35-year-old is only “subtly replacing Prince William’s wife.”
