Woman, 23, killed two friends ‘twerking’ in the back of her CAR while traveling more than double the speed limit

A female driver reportedly killed two passengers filmed ‘twerking’ in the back of her car.

What Really Happened?

Adele Ojokie Aidonojie was traveling at more than double the speed limit in her convertible Mini Cooper when she crashed in Battersea at around 3.24am on July 16, 2022.

According to forensic collision investigator, she was travelling at 62mph on Latchmere Road which has a 30mph speed limit at the time of the car crash.

She hurled Rida Boujetif and Mary Macharia, both 23, from the car and also enquired about whether there were cameras on the street.

Court Heard

Court heard that Aidonojie told people in the neighborhood (now witnesses) not to call police or an ambulance.

After she was arrested she told police: ‘I didn’t do anything, they weren’t wearing seatbelts.’

She passed a breathalyser test taken two hours after the smash but an analysis of her blood found she would have been over the limit at the time of the crash.

Her Defense Statements

She claimed her passengers had urged her to overtake another car at 60mph moments before the crash.

Aidonojie denied but was convicted by a jury of causing the deaths of Mr Boujetif and the driver’s ‘best friend’ Ms Macharia by dangerous driving.

She further denied and was convicted of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in relation to the front seat passenger, her boyfriend Ben Sidibe, who broke his arm.

Aidonojie nevertheless denied two counts of death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
