At Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party, all five members of the Spice Girls reunited, as captured in a video shared on Saturday via Instagram by David Beckham.
The former soccer star filmed his wife, Victoria, alongside her former bandmates—Melanie C, Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell—joyfully dancing to the group’s hit song “Stop.”
“I mean, come on,” David Beckham wrote in his post.
Victoria Beckham, previously known as Posh Spice during her time with the Spice Girls, also posted a video of the moment on her Instagram account, expressing, “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!”
“The best gift to be reunited!! Thank you to all my friends and family for celebrating with me,” Victoria Beckham later shared on Twitter on Monday, along with a series of photos featuring her with the other Spice Girls, Eva Longoria and her husband, Tom Cruise, and her daughter, Harper Beckham.
Emma Bunton, also recognized as Baby Spice, praised David Beckham for organizing “such a wonderful evening” on X, formerly known as Twitter. “What a night,” she tweeted on Monday. “Love all my girls.”
The surprise performance comes three decades after the formation of the Spice Girls in 1994 and five years after the group embarked on a reunion tour in 2019. However, Beckham did not participate in that tour, citing her busy schedule with design work during an interview on “Good Morning America.”
Nevertheless, Beckham expressed her ongoing support for the group, stating, “I’ll always be a Spice Girl, and I’m so proud of everything I achieved. I’m proud of them. It’s going to be the best show.” She added, “In spirit, I will absolutely be there.”
In September, Mel B hinted to “Extra” that Beckham is now “on board” with a reunion, without providing specific details.
Last month, when asked about the Spice Girls returning, Mel B teased on “Loose Women” that “we are definitely doing something,” but remained cryptic about the specifics. “Us five are working on something that is going to be announced soon,” she declared enigmatically on the “Today” show.
The video of the reunion at Beckham’s birthday party quickly garnered over a million likes, as fans celebrated seeing the group back together again.
“The moment the entire planet has been waiting for,” one comment read, while another fan wrote, “The way a whole generation is SHAKING.”
