Jordan Brooker, 22, imprisoned a woman he met on Tinder in her flat for two hours on their first date and strangled her has been jailed.

The pair knew each other from having met on the dating app Tinder, per court record.

The ‘lucky’ victim Isabelle Worthmills was only saved after a neighbour heard her banging on the walls and begging to be let out, a court heard.

Brooker placed his hand around Isabelle’s neck, digging into the neck with his thumbs … she was already feeling pressure on her neck, as she’s finding it hard to breathe.

Brooker broken Isabelle phone to cut her off communication and sat in front of the door of the flat so she could not leave, the court heard.

How She Was Saved

But at 6.30am, police were called to her home after a neighbour heard her banging on the wall and shouting ‘let me out’.

George Joseph, prosecuting, said: ‘The complainant and the defendant

‘They messaged for a considerable amount of time but the defendant had never met the complainant.’

Court Ruling

Brooker has now been jailed for 31 months over the offences.

Victim Impact Statement

In a victim impact statement, Worthmills said she was ‘completely broken and traumatised’ from the incident, following which she had quit her job.

‘I am scared to go outside, even to meet with friends’, she fears. ‘I am terrified of running into Jordan.

‘Jordan knows where I live. I am afraid, although I and Jordan were not in a relationship, that he will try to get to me.’
