Queen Mary made a stunning appearance at a solo engagement on Tuesday, drawing attention with her choice of jewelry.
The Danish royal, aged 52, impressed in a cobalt blue jacket, specifically the ‘Cecille Sculpt Stretch Crepe Jacket’ from The Fold, featuring an asymmetrical design with black buttons. She complemented the outfit with the matching ‘Adelaide Sculpt Stretch Crepe Wide-Leg Trousers’ from the same brand.
Alongside her exquisite gold Ocean Shield Earrings from Elhanati, Queen Mary opted for a delicate eight-carat gold ‘Petite Letter Necklace’ from Halberstadt, adorned with diamonds and featuring the initial ‘F’ in homage to her husband.
This thoughtful gesture was observed as Queen Mary embarked on a solo outing to The National Museum of Denmark to commemorate the Specialists’ 20th anniversary, marking her third such event in the past two weeks. The couple’s last public appearance together was during a luxurious trip to Verbier, an exclusive ski resort in Switzerland, in March.
On that occasion, Mary swapped her stylish suit for a turtleneck jumper from Moncler and fitted salopettes. Notably, this isn’t the first time Queen Mary has paid tribute to her husband in this manner.
She previously wore the Halberstadt necklace when attending a JoaquÃn Sorolla exhibition at the Glyptoteket Museum in Copenhagen last November, shortly after the Spanish gossip magazine Lecturas published photos of King Frederik with Mexican socialite Geneveva Casanova during a private trip to Madrid.
During her outing in Copenhagen, Queen Mary also paid homage to her family with another piece of jewelry beneath her ‘F’ necklace. She wore an eight-carat gold and diamond medallion necklace from Julie Sandlau, engraved with the initials “C, I, V, J” representing her four children – Crown Prince Christian, aged 18, Princess Isabella, aged 16, and 13-year-old twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
Described by the brand as featuring “a ring of 30 Top Wesselton diamonds with a total carat of 0.15,” this necklace added another personal touch to her ensemble.
The most recent joint engagement of Mary and Frederik was on 21 March, when they attended the Exhibition Opening of Frederik X: King Of Tomorrow at Amalienborg Museum.
Meanwhile, the last public appearance of King Frederik was on 22 March when he attended the 200th Anniversary event of the Society for the Promotion of Natural Studies. Many have eagerly anticipated the next sighting of the royal couple.
It has been confirmed that the Danish royal family will make a balcony appearance on the King’s 56th birthday on 26 May, likely joined by their children.
In anticipation of his birthday, Frederik is also scheduled to undertake two state visits – to Sweden from 6 to 7 May to meet King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, followed by a reunion with King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit during their state visit to Norway from 14 to 15 May.
Moreover, Mary and Frederik will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on 14 May during their visit to Norway, commemorating their union in 2004 at the Copenhagen Cathedral.
