Is Ashanti Expecting a Baby From Nelly?
Ashanti shared the news in a sweet Instagram video yesterday – the clip shows her getting ready to perform when her mother asks her how much time she needs until she’s ready, then the ‘Rock Wit U’ singer responds, ‘I’m going to need about nine months.’
The 43-year-old star then hit the video post hard with the caption ‘Baby baby baby baby….’ Her partner-in-pregnancy Nelly also posted the video to his own Instagram page.
Congratulations have since been pouring in for the couple … the incoming baby will be Ashanti’s first child and Nelly’s fifth.

Ashanti feeing grateful told Essence during interview, ‘This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.
‘Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.’
Ashanti also confirms that the duo are engaged.
How Long Were Nelly and Ashanti Together?
They started dating in 2003 but called it quits in 2013 before the singers rekindled their romance in 2023.
