A 49-year-old man from Arizona allegedly stabbed his estranged wife 38 times after he learned that she now has a new man in her life.
It all happened on Thursday when police received a tip off to come around to a house where two dogs are barking from inside the house.

Upon arrival, the dogs were still barking and Christina Lopez, 43, was found dead on the kitchen floor in a pool of blood.
Javier’s shirt and cell phone and murder weapon were found at the scene.
Christina and Javier had separated in November 2023, but were still disputing shared custody of their children.
On the day of the murder, Javier took one of his children over to Christina’s house for a visit but asked him to stay in the car so he could go speak to her. Â
Why He Killed Her
According to investigators, Javier then asked Christina if she had begun dating another man. She responded that she was, which upset him.Â
This made him to sprung into violence – pulling out a pocket knife and stabbing Christina many times until she was dying on the kitchen floor of the home.
Lopez also dumped a bag of dog food on his wife’s stabbed body because he was so furious at her having a new man.
Investigators say he then drove back home with his son, with the boy asking in a panic if he’d hurt his mother because he was able to hear screaming and crying.Â
Javier later admitted to murdering his estranged wife upon questioning – said he washed his hands before driving home with his son.
Javier Lopez now awaits a preliminary hearing on April 19.
